One of the most important investments a business can make is in equipment that makes it easier for workers to safely and comfortably complete tasks. Smooth, ergonomic workflows limit workplace injuries and allow employees to experience less discomfort when handling tough jobs (like unloading pallets or containers); the smoother and more comfortable the workflows, the more efficiently things will get done on the facility floor. Employees will be happier, as well.
Container tilters / pallet tilters are designed to move loads from the ground level to a more comfortable working height, streamlining the loading and unloading of pallets and containers making it safer for employees. A pallet tilter can also be used to transport heavy loads from one area of the facility to another, as needed. Correct lifting posture and reducing repetitive bending and reaching is key to preventing injuries. Tilters help ensure workers are not experiencing unsafe lifting situations that could potentially cause an on-the-job accident.
Container tilters / pallet tilters use hydraulics to lift the load, saving effort on the part of workers. HOF Equipment offers pallet tilters that are manually operated as well as DC (battery) and AC powered units to meet a variety of applications. The same is true of mobility; we offer both manual push and powered traction drive tilters for heavy use applications. Our goal is to provide our customers with the tools needed to get the job done right.
A container tilter in general,is designed to tilt an array of containers including standard pallets, open bottom skids, boxes, and totes. Standard (non-straddle) pallet tilters are designed to handle open bottom skids since the legs and forks will slide under the skid. To lift a standard pallet with an understructure a straddle tilter is required. Straddle tilters have wide support legs allowing the legs to “straddle” standard pallets that have an understructure, while the forks slide under the pallet. HOF carries a range of regular and straddle tilters including the Vestil Tilt Master series which includes models TMS-20-DC , TMS-40-DC, and TMS-60-DC (among others). If you’re interested in a particular tilter for your application, contact us and we will be happy to help you to figure out which container tilter is best suited for your needs.
