Spanco Workmate 5 ton electric chain hoists are built for heavy, repetitive lifting in production, maintenance, and assembly areas. The SP2500 is a double-fall hoist with a 6/3.75 HP dual-speed motor that lifts at 16 FPM high speed and 4 FPM low speed, giving you a fast speed for moving loads and a slow speed for precise load positioning. It runs on 230V or 460V three-phase power, carries an H4 duty rating for all-day industrial use, and comes standard in 10', 15', or 20' lift heights with your choice of eyebolt or hook suspension. A cast aluminum body and end caps with IP65 protection keep the hoist dust tight and water jet resistant, and the 42V low-voltage controls make the 2-button pendant safer to handle. Inside, a 3-stage helical gearbox, polygon shaft and hub connections, and an easy-to-service slip clutch provide smooth, long-lasting performance, while a maintenance-free DC spring-loaded disc brake holds the load securely when the motor stops. The case-hardened manganese phosphate profile steel load chain offers an 8:1 safety factor and excellent corrosion resistance, and every hoist ships complete with load chain, chain container, 2-button pendant control, power cord, suspension, and load hook.
