Morse Verti-Karrier Overhead Drum Lifters, models 90-SS & 90M, are designed to lift closed steel 55-gallon drums with a top rim weighing up to 1,000 LBS using an overhead lifting device. The Morse 90-SS is made from Stainless Steel, which makes it ideal for clean environments, while the Morse 90M is made with spark-resistant parts made of monel, an alloy of nickel and copper. To use, simply attach the Verti-Karrier to a hoist or crane, position it over the drum and lower it onto the top of the drum. Raise the drum lifter, and it will automatically grip the drum under the top rim. To release, simply lower the drum fully to the ground, and the vertical drum lifter will automatically release its grip. These drum lifters can not be used with open-top drums. The Morse 90-SS and Morse 90M are designed to lift 55-gallon drums, and have three different settings to allow the user to adjust the size of grip, ensuring the drum lifter fits the following diameters of drum: 22-1/16", 22-3/16" & 22-7/16". Hook eye measures 3" diameter. Optional fork hook, model 284, fits onto a single fork of a fork truck, enabling it to be used as a hoist for the Vertical Drum Lifters. Load tested at the factory at 125% of rated capacity to comply with ANSI/ASME B30.20.
